HENDRYX TO FOLLOW DIXIE BACK TO MAJORS
Ever since the season closed the Colonels have been receiving cash offers for Davis and Tim Hendryx,Two of the most valuable men in the Association,But (Bill)Neal has been clinging to them until offered deals which would bring to the Louisville Club players of worth, rather than so much money in exchange for the two stars. He thinks he has made a good deal for Davis and expects soon to announce one for Hendryx."We could have sold Davis and Hendryx for money a dozen times within the past two months had we desired."declared Neal"But is is not money we want for any men we have. The Louisville Club will not turn loose any of its pastimers unless it can get in exchange men of known worth or players of exceptional promise"
