On 9-27-1912 he had a pretty hard day.He pitched for the Tigers that friday in Cleveland. The Tigers lost big to the Cleveland Naps 16-5.
Charlie set a Tigers record that day for the most wild pitchs in a game(Five).That record still stands today.
Also that day he gave up the only Home Run of his career. It was a 3 run IN THE Park blast by Naps outfielder TIM HENDRYX of Leroy Illinois. It was Tim's 1st Big League Home Run.
