Here is yet another IGA interior.This is from 1960-63 era.Personally I loved this type of store.They didnt have as much as a Walmart or a Big Chain.They did have local people working there and a small town feel to the place.It was perfect.From the sight of Prier or Billy Joe sitting in that little elevated office space,to the odd little circular counters that moved the grocerys to the checker,to the Sandy Horse that cost 10 cents to ride,To the great selection of model kits,to the giant selection of kids breakfast cereals,To that little hanging shelf over the register area,All of that and more,I really loved to go to the IGA when I was a kid.
